Many Ravelry members are working on Oddball Blankets that are knit collectively. You can knit or crochet \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 get your local knitting group involved \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 create a blanket as a family project \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 complete a blanket on your own or with a friend \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 be part of our Wool-Aid team in whatever way works best for you! Please follow the guidelines below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum dimensions of 40\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00c3\u2014 45\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/li>\n<li>Larger afghans should not exceed 50\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00c3\u2014 50\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/li>\n<li>Knit or crochet your favorite pattern or try something new. Classic patterns are best.<\/li>\n<li>Use wool (or other animal fiber) to provide maximum utility in harsh weather.<\/li>\n<li>Please avoid white and very light colors that soil more easily. Afghans like all colors\u00e2\u20ac\u201dbright and cheery palettes! No camo yarn. Use up those wool oddballs.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid lacy or airy patterns.<\/li>\n<li>Use textured or geometric designs. Do not incorporate representational images such as faces and animals in your design\u00e2\u20ac\u201dIslam prohibits depicting such likenesses.<\/li>\n<li>Do not incorporate religious or national symbols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See Wool-Aid&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wool-aid.org\/guidelines.html\" target=\"_self\">Guidelines<\/a> for general information.
