(November 15, 2011)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 5, 2010, we launched a Sock Blitz, with an end date of November 15, 2010. Our goal is to collect 100 pairs of socks by that date! 100 pairs of socks in 100 days! Wool-Aid has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wool-aid.org\/guidelines.html\" target=\"_blank\">General Guidelines for socks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines specific to this campaign:<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Wool (at least 80% wool\/animal fiber)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Worsted weight yarn or heavier (includes worsted or worsted stranded with sock yarn or worsted weight doubled or bulky yarn)<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Sock length at least 6\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, up to adult sizes for teens<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Sock height at least 6\u00e2\u20ac\u009d above the heel flap, or with a leg measurement equal to foot length, up to a maximum of 10\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Please tie socks of a pair together.<\/p>\n<p>Suggested pattern:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wool-aid.org\/patterns.html\" target=\"_blank\">Cozy Toes<\/a> by Christiane Burkhard (LISMI)<\/p>\n<p>You may use any pattern that you enjoy knitting, as long as the finished socks meet the guidelines above.<\/p>\n<p>Please send all socks to<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wool-Aid<br \/>\n1381 Rocky Creek Court<br \/>\nBelleville, IL 62220<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>If you are able<\/em>, a contribution to help share the cost of shipping expenses would be appreciated.
