The children come from the six villages of Lingshed, Gongma, Skumpata, Youlchung, Neyraks, and Dibling.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently providing\u00c2\u00a0<strong>hats, socks, <\/strong>and<strong> sweaters<\/strong>, and also <strong>blankets for the younger children (ages 5 through 9)\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>(approximately 40&#8243; x 60&#8243;). All colors of clothing are\u00c2\u00a0appropriate for the schoolchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Wool-Aid has so far\u00c2\u00a0sent <strong>19 boxes<\/strong> containing <strong>498 items<\/strong> for the schoolchildren at the residential school:<\/p>\n<p>Hats: <strong>107<\/strong><br \/>\nSweaters: <strong>135<\/strong><br \/>\nSocks: <strong>205<\/strong><br \/>\nChild-size blankets: <strong>51<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will send additional boxes of clothing and blankets in ongoing support of the children there, to help keep them warm in the 30-below temperatures that are common in Ladakh in wintertime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wool-Aid is pleased to support\u00c2\u00a0100 or so schoolchildren ages 5 through 15 who live in a residential school in Ladakh, in one of the most beautiful and remote areas of northern India.
